Build your own iPTV profitable network NOW!

After launching the SlingPlayer for the iPhone, Sling Media is now pointing their streaming solution to the Android market. Rumors actually say that a new version of the software will be available for the Android OS. Stuart Collingwood, vice president for Europe stated: “We are looking at it closely, and we will develop in time for anything we can”.

The SlingPlayer is already available on BlackBerry, Symbian, PalmOS and the iPhone. You can read more about Sling on the iPhone in HERE. Basically the concept works by using a Slingbox which you have to plug into your TV components. The application connects to the device and users will be able to watch videos,TV shows and many other video content anywhere on their mobile phone.

You can see the live streaming solution running on mobile phones in the video below:

The Android version is not ready yet but the official release is expected by the end of this summer and in terms of the costs we may assume it will be the same as it was on the previous versions. What do you think? Have you already tested Sling on your mobile phone ? I am waiting your feedback here.
