Online video grows
Online video is growing in popularity month by month and comScore published new statistics. In the US, viewers watched 12.7 billion online videos during November 2008 and in December 2009 178 million people watched over 33 billion videos, so more than double.
Pew Internet & American Life Project conducted a survey from March 26 – April 2009 and seems like video watching grows across all age groups, here is the percentage of internet users in each age group who watch videos on video-sharing sites.
The big numbers in December shows an ascendent trend with YouTube leading and Hulu coming on the second place. Stability is the word defining the top because YouTube is the distant leader for a very long time then the other players are sharing the remaining part of the pie.
